Package Itinerary

The Easter season is one of the most beautiful expressions of faith in Guatemala. Particularly so for  La Antigua Guatemala. Apart from the religious aspect, Easter is an important event not only for expressing various artistic expressions but to generate unprecedented economic progress as shown in a recent report.

During Easter we see the development of altars, ephemeral carpets, various crafts and special food that form part of both a tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

We give our clients a warm welcome to this beautiful land of the Quetzal.  Please find below, the recommended Group Itinerary. We have divided this quote in 2 packages in which we list prices for 1-4, 5-7, 8 or more clients to make it manageable for you as a company.

It is the largest municipality due to being a place of cultural, historical and touristical importance. It was here where the PopolVuh, a Mayan religious book which tells of the origin of mankind, was found . It was translated from the original Castilian Quiche written by Fray Francisco Ximénez.

Afternoon visit to the stunning Lake Atitlan, Solola, Guatemala.  Lake Atitlan is one of the main economic resources of this region as well as being a tourist center of much visual appeal.

Lake Atilan is surrounded by beautiful volcanos: Lago Atitlan volcano (3,537m), Tolimán (3,158m) and San Pedro (3,020m) . The lake is located 1,560 meters above sea level and is 18 km in length. Its depth, which varies in many ways, is unknown but has been probed to more than 350m deep.

There are 2 stories of thought with regards to the origin of Lake Atitlan.  One believes that the lake is an old dead crater and the emergence of other volcanoes interrupted along the course of the three rivers that come from the North , which , by bringing water into the area, gave rise to the lake. The lake has no visible outlet. It is also said that where the lake is now, was an island that was the epicenter of activity in the Mayan Pre- Classic period (600 BC - . 250 AD), since at that time the Mayans were grouped into regions.
